In the official message of the Rosselkhoznadzor statedthat the inspection visit of representatives of the Eurasian economic Union was to be held from 26 October to 6 November. However, the Polish company refused to let people, not specifying the reasonable grounds.
Because the Polish side has repeatedly postponed the date of the inspection, the Rosselkhoznadzor decided to introduce from 30 September temporary restrictions on deliveries to the country canned fish and other fish products produced by Polish enterprises.
In August of this year, the Rospotrebnadzor banned the import of sprat from the two Polish companies, citing the violation of the required product quality.
In 2014 from Poland to Russia was imported 273 tonnes of preserved fish, including caviar. In the first quarter of imports of canned fish from this country and not be realized at all.

Previously Rospotrebnadzor banned the import to Russia canned fish with several Latvian companies, including Ventspils zivju konservu kombināts LTD., «Gamma-A», Sabiedrba IMS, LLC «UNDA» and Suldusgalaskombinats.
In early June, the Rosselkhoznadzor two decrees banned the import of canned fish since 44 31 Estonian and Latvian enterprises.
